FACT: About 11,210 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2011.
Dear Ben Towne Foundation,
Last year my litter sister was diagnosed with leukemia (ALL). Even before that happened I had been wanting to raise money to donate to cancer research and was growing my hair out for Locks-of-Love.
Then, a couple months ago one of my friends came over and taught us how to make necklaces out of these glass tiles. I was going on a trip with a bunch of other friends and we decided to make the necklaces to sell for cancer research. We raised $320.00, which my parents matched, for a total of $640.00
I chose to donate this money to Ben Towne Foundation because I am excited that kids might be able to fight cancer without the very many side effects.
My sister is still in treatment, but is doing very well.
Madeline, Age 8
Thank you Madeline for your incredible efforts! Michaela is lucky to have such a supportive big sister!
