a message from dr. jensen: legacy

There are so many ways to quantify the impact of BTF over the last five years: dollars raised for research, community events attended, center tours given, blogs posts written, videos shot, benefits celebrated, and friends made. The list goes on and on…a treasure trove of wonderful memories! Thank you Carin & Jeff and all who have supported BTF for working so hard to have made all this possible.

Something bigger and more enduring has also been created. A legacy of children who are with us today, who otherwise would not be with us– because you were the catalyst that brought our research to clinical trials at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Imagine how the numbers of children saved will grow, how the world will be changed by their presence. That is a legacy worthy of Ben and all of you. Priceless.

I know I speak for all of the Seattle Children’s community when I say “thank you”! Our gratitude is immense. This has been an extraordinary first chapter of a novel in the making. Stick with us on the journey ahead. We have lots of work to do together at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research.

Happy Holidays!

Dr J
