On Friday we had a special opportunity to spend the evening at Efeste winery in Woodinville. If you haven’t been wine tasting there before you must go! I kept thinking we were lost as we drove through the industrial business parks of Woodinville. But when we finally entered their doors it felt like we had stepped onto a movie set or something. The architecture, pictures, lighting and space are amazing – not to mention being surrounded by huge gorgeous wine barrels throughout their cellar! We had the chance to sample lovely Efeste wines, dine on delicious wood-fired pizza made in their onsite family style kitchen and enjoy the always amazing cupcakes from PinkaBella.
The night was hosted and planned by our dear friends Traci and Mark. They invited their network of friends and colleagues to join them in support of Ben Towne Foundation. We were so moved by their incredible generosity, as well as thoughtfulness around the guests they included – for most of whom this was a first introduction to our mission and work. Jeff and I had the chance to share about our story and journey with Ben, how Ben Towne Foundation came to be and most exciting about the research that is currently happening at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research.
It was truly a lovely evening and we want to sincerely thank Mark, Traci, Efeste winery and everyone who attended. We were grateful for your presence, generosity and interest in our work. What a fun way to start 2013!
