brave & boxes

“If you had a chance to change your fate, would you?”

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Brave event on Saturday. It was a fantastic day and we were so grateful for your presence – all 1200 of you! We hope you enjoyed the film as much as we did! A huge thanks to all our wonderful volunteers as well – the students from Emily Dickinson Elementary who served as our greeters, their teachers Kelly and Katie as well as Maggie, Mark, Alison, Jesse, Andra, Jesse, Andrew and our Project Manager Kendall.

For those of you who were unable to attend, we kicked off a kid’s summer fundraising campaign! As all our young attendees exited the movie they had the opportunity to take one of our new super cool blue coin boxes.

Our hope is that kids would spend the summer filling these up with coins for Ben Towne Foundation. They can look under furniture, in the car, on the playground – or perhaps they will come up with their own special way to fill their box – like so many your children already have. Then in September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we will collect them – and together we can make a change in childhood cancer research. If you would like to be part of our summer campaign, please contact kendall@bentownefoundation.org.
