buoyed into 2014

Welcome to 2014!  We are grateful to find ourselves on the other side of Ben’s Anniversary and in a New Year. I am not going to lie…December was rough. But as I have said publicly before, and as it has been since the day of Ben’s diagnosis, when we seem to be at our lowest your compassion and participation rises. It is crazy fact. I don’t know how it all works scientifically, but it continues to overwhelm us. And once again we are lifted – we are buoyed. Throughout December individuals, families, schools and businesses stepped up and lead with generosity. We would like to especially thank:

Big Fish Games

Pan Pacific Seattle

Wilson Construction

Keener’s Christmas

Skyline High School

Pine Lake Middle School

White Pine Elementary School

and of course YOU!

Together, with our generous angel donors, we exceeded our year-end goal and match. This means in 2013 we have contributed a total of 1.3 million dollars to the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research!! This is incredible!! I wish we had more vocabulary to say thank you. But for lack of other words – thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

It is hard to imagine what is in store for Ben Towne Foundation 2014 – but if the past three years are any indication…it is going to be good! In the meantime if you need me, I’ll just be bobbing along on the river of your kindness, floating right into JUANuary. (If you don’t know what JUANuary is be thankful – you definitely have a higher IQ than me.)
