It’s been four days since our benefit 2014 and I still have no words. I honestly don’t even know how to comprehend what happened on Friday night. When I think about it, some sort of slow motion, dream-like scene moves like molasses through my brain. I keep asking myself, “Did that really happen?” I think it did. Your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts certainly say it did!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for this incredible night – and a special shout out to our friends and guests who traveled to be with us from Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC! Talk about a ripple effect!
As Jeff shared from the podium, we were recalling in our infancy how a non-profit advisor had told us to “aim small”, to “try not to do anything too big”. Our response was, “Why would we do that?” We are trying to make significant change, not incremental change. It was clear that 1700 of you agree and share our vision of changing the way we treat and cure kids from childhood cancer.
We are overwhelmed and grateful for the incredible generosity that was displayed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
