At the end of 2013 students at White Pine Elementary in Boise, Idaho, participated in a school coin drive to raise funds for Ben Towne Foundation. It was organized by Rachel Sutherland with the support of our BTF Boise Chapter. The response was amazing with pizza and brownie parties for the winning classes! Friends, they raised $2,586.76 in a week! This was so impressive to us and got us thinking about other elementary schools and what they could do to help accelerate pediatric cancer research at the Ben Towne Center…
You can see more of their photos by clicking here.
Therefore, we are excited to offer a new coin drive program for schools/ kid groups of approximately 100 or more in the Seattle area and beyond! Every child that participates will get a box to keep (even after the coin drive is over). Kids get the opportunity to learn about Ben Towne Foundation and the work at the Ben Towne Center – as do their families! For more information please visit this link on our website .
*Many thanks to White Pine Elementary, Rachel, and BTF’s Boise Chapter for your time and efforts!!
